Bellabox - November 2013 - What's in my box this month? ;)

Bellabox November Opening

Something a little different for Bellabox this month, all the items arrived in a makeup bag.  I haven't heard anything about this new packaging so I'm not sure if it's a once off or if I should start calling them Bellabag? The bag is a nice size and would be great for the handbag.

Ponds Age Miracle Cell ReGEN Day Cream

I thought that this was a full size item, but the full size is 50g and this is 25g.  It's definitely a generous enough size to form a fair opinion.  I like the packaging too, it's shaped like a water drop and is thick glass.

It's a light pink, thick cream, slight fresh/floral scent but not overpowering.  It's a very thick consistency for a day cream.  It does take a little time to massage it in because it’s so thick, however, once applied it doesn’t feel heavy or sit on top of the skin.  Skin feels lovely, smooth and hydrated after application.  I think it would work really well under makeup.

It doesn't seem to have a scent. Sinks in really quickly and doesn't leave hands greasy.  It’s not the most moisturising hand cream I've used but great for the handbag and travelling. 

A.S.A.P Sheer Tint Moisturiser

It has a slight scent of sunscreen.  When I first applied it on my hand it looked too dark for my skin.  It does sheer out so I may be able to wear this shade but I will have to try it on my face.  

ASAP Tinted Moisturiser Swatched

It does feel nice and moisturising and leaves a sheen on the skin.  I don't think people with oily skin would like it for this reason.

*UPDATE: Bellabox contacted me via Facebook and advised me to send an email regarding the broken pencil.  Bellabox got back to me and are sending me a replacement.  I have to say their customer service is pretty fantastic.  I received the replacement and it's perfectly fine.  See here.

As you can see by the image above, the packaging let them down here.  I think either the product melted in transit and became loose or the packaging didn't work to begin with.  I have been able to place the product back in the tube and I am able to twist it up and down, however, it just loosely floats about in the tube.

Bellabox Pout Pencil Swatch - Ruby Tuesday

The colour is a lovely blue-based-teeth-whitening red which is a great colour for my cool, fair skin tone.  

The formula is mostly matte with a slight sheen.  It applies very opaque and it does feel thick on the lips, like a lipstick, but it is not drying.  Bellabox advised that it is infused with Vitaman E and Beeswax.  

It's not like the typical lip pencils as they are usually a balm texture or sheer.  If you are looking for the balm/sheer textures I wouldn't recommend this.  However, if you are looking for a matte red that isn't drying, I would give this a go.

I have used a corrector pen in the past, but not this brand.  I think this will come in very handy when your applying makeup or on the go.

This is a bonus item for this month.  It's basically a larger clear bandaid. I think it would be handy if you have a blister and want to wear strappy shoes but don't want to show off your bandaid.
